The Shape of Winter: An Evergreen Wreath Workshop

Gather for a seasonal exploration of botanical forms with a hands-on wreath-making workshop on fresh White Pine forms from our local supplier, Leatherwood Farms. In this creative, holiday and solstice inspired session, you'll adorn using a mix of fragrant evergreen sprigs, winter botanicals, and natural garlands, finished with festive ribbon and thoughtful details that make it your own.

Designed to become lush and a little wild, these wreaths will bring the beauty and fragrance of the woods to your front door throughout the holiday season. Work with a variety of natural materials, exploring the contrast of evergreen foliage, sculptural branches, and seasonal accents to create something timeless and personal.

Work alongside floral designer June Mena of Ceres Botanical as she guides you through composition, layering, and the ingredients, helping you create a wreath that feels organic and artful; a natural addition to your home for the holidays.

Sip on a festive hot chocolate flight, with optional spirit add-ins, while you work, and enjoy a cozy evening of making with your neighbors!

Instructor: June Mena is a floral designer and grower who founded Ceres Botanical, a Richmond-based design studio focused on highlighting local flowers in the creation of stunning arrangements. She began her floral career as a grower, working on Prospect Hill Flower Farm, near Richmond, VA. After designing bouquets for the farmer’s market, she began to turn to cut flower practices and found she was drawn to creating unique table centerpieces. She currently designs for local restaurants, weddings, and other events, utilizing sustainable design principles and a naturalistic, lush style.
